I don’t think this book is for me. The energy of one of the mains is just too high and bouncy and the other is way too bashful.

Completely understand how you feel. I'm reading a book now. An ARC. And I simply can't connect with it. I don't know if it's the book for just me at the moment but I hope things get better... otherwise I have to DNF.
I hate to DNF a book, but this one… I catch myself just skimming most of it. I really can’t be bothered
Sam- good to have the courage of your convictions and get out before you waste more time on a book you don’t like. I just read a really weird one and need to think about it before my review.
Sam- if it's not an ARC, I would def DNF as you can always try again another time. If it is an ARC, that can be a harder decision. There are quite a few books I have found that I didn't like the first third, but then loved the rest, but it was almost always that if I didn't connect to a book by the 55% I almost never would.
