This book is messy and the characters are frustrating

Pausing this read. I can’t read this right now, maybe ever…

I’m not sure how I feel about our main character…

Between the cover and the boringness of this book I’m putting it on pause for a bit. Might end up as a DNF

Such slow going with this one. I like it less and less now the story continues. I’m not even sure what the main storyline here is… I know what I want it to be

While I’m eager to find out more about these characters and discover the true story, I can’t help but struggle with the writing a little. Maybe it’s because I haven’t been feeling well, maybe it’s because the writing is just slightly odd… will report back later
(The writing is making for a slow progress on this one)

I really want to enjoy Jae’s writing but there is just something that doesn’t work for me.

I don't understand why this needs to be such a drama. The narration isn't great either…

The writing is making me want to continue, the story but mostly the MC make me want to stop reading. It’s a curious state to be in

I don’t think this book is for me. The energy of one of the mains is just too high and bouncy and the other is way too bashful.
And the writing style… I can’t settle into this story

Again with the picturesque. I’m really beginning to hate this word

I just can’t get into it. It’s taken me 3 days to get to this point…
