Interesting to contrast this with the more "fantasy" oriented 'Interfictions' which I just finished. The science-fiction volume falls rather flat compared to the more adventurous interstitial anthology. Lackluster writing, tired tropes, awful introductory passages-only a few stories here feel fresh and impress (notably those by Sinisalo and Arsenieva). Disappointing and not representative of European SF in general.
