I honestly can't wrap my mind around one of the reviews I read before reading this book. We get a backstory with pertinent information about Shades mom, her dad, her uncle, and the Queen. How is this book irrelevant? Well, so far, I'm glad I read that review with a grain of salt. This chapter with the story of the last origin is worth the read

I always take a look at the person who posted the review, sometimes people pick on books just to lower their ratings and create negative narratives. Does the person who posted the review has an average rating below 4.0? If answer positively then ignore the review. I usually block people like those.
