I read too much violent fantasy because this is so sweet it’s corny. These people are cornnny! But I’m gonna stick beside them because I’m going to be looking for a dirty post apocalyptic reverse harem to sully my brain after all this… cuteness. Actually, I’m going to pause here and come back for a palette cleanse after I find some filth to read. By 59% some guts should’ve been obliterated by now. Js!

Not too happy with how this kidnapping just got wrapped up. All these people were worried about Tempest for weeks! They were looking for her under every rock after she was abducted by a vampire! Weeks of searching and they just accept this weak conclusion to their search and now all is well again…

So far every non angel but eddy is wack arnolds! Xavier can’t fight. Tia can’t fight. None of the wolves can fight. Weak sauce! All they’ve done is lose so far. Tia and Xavier been losing since book 1. Guardians my ass. They can’t even protect themselves. These battles have all been pathetic. Nevaeh was the only bad ass in book 1. Eddy is the only bad ass so far in book 2. A waste of training honestly

I couldn’t understand why Tia had a pov until now. Hot damn. Why’d it have to be this dude though? Can’t give it all away but it’s been beaten in my head not to trust this damn guy. So… Lawd what a twist I’m glad I didn’t see coming.

Things got so good and actiony but now it’s wordy again so I’m back to doing a lot of skimming but making sure I don’t miss any meat and potatoes. There’s a lot of filler.

At 5% and it’s basically all inner monologue. I’m just skimming through at this point

Where can we even go from here

This is an interesting but hard read. Errors like, “She tried to scream, but her mother was covered by a firm, leather-gloved hand” is melting my brain. Another issue is the use of words that don’t fit the writing style. It reminds me of my abusive use of the Thesaurus in high school. I love the concept but really dislike the execution. I’ve given up on this book a few times but this will be the final push.

L M F A O!! Already knew Jane Washington was a hoot. It’s not a debate! However, comma, did she really just… I can’t give it away but this is such a hilarious story overall and an unpredictable take on Cinderella!

I honestly can't wrap my mind around one of the reviews I read before reading this book. We get a backstory with pertinent information about Shades mom, her dad, her uncle, and the Queen. How is this book irrelevant? Well, so far, I'm glad I read that review with a grain of salt. This chapter with the story of the last origin is worth the read

I’m honestly having a hard time enjoying the rest of this story with chapter 12 in mind. As soon as I start to smile I have a flashback.

Chapter 12 is thoroughly disgusting! I’m talking about gagging almost vomiting disgusting! Yuck! I praise Hunter’s will but man does she keep fucking up! Still, yuck lol! 🤢🤮

We’re at the funniest part in this series so far. I’ve enjoyed the story but I’ve been missing these guffaw moments.

The Tempest does not have the typical snowflake thought process and I prefer it. No over thinking. Every single thought isn’t written and drawn out. When she’s nervous there’s not a whole chapter dedicated to explaining her nervousness. The world building is in my opinion sufficient as well. I had a few “hunh” moments with the scenery and lingo but overall it’s been enough for me to see the scenes.

Painfully slow. All this go to sleep, wake up, fear, growl shit is getting boring.

I am cackling!!! Jasmine done lost her shit and I’m here for it! This fight is so hilariously realistic. So far I like the way Desiree is approaching the situations we’ve read about on the blog. You can see why deleted scenes weren’t necessary or why some situations were rewritten in a way that’s still true to the character but helps move the story along better.

Savannah drunk is so damn cringy but hilarious!! I almost gave up in this book but I’m glad I pushed through.

What a great start! Wow. I feel like I’ve been settling for cute and funny books with no depth lately. So far, this book is exceeding expectation.

So Melize is idiot number 3 of book 4. Idiot number one on the good team. She’s told that she needs to do something to make sure they are at their strongest but what does she do, leave and taken her broken ass to battle. Something bad is going to happen since they were supposed to do this before but the queen stalled it before she died... hmm I’m annoyed but intrigued

This is stupid. So you’re trying to tell me that Elena is now so dumb and reckless she didn’t realize telling Serena how they played her with Chewy could set Serena back. She tells her it so nonchalantly as if Serena would just be okay with it. Even if the goal was to have Serena spaz out, it didn’t have to be written in so stupidly. Hopefully, it only leads to her hardening her heart instead of going crazy

I love stories where the two characters have electric chemistry and you get to see much of the ascent from spark to lust to love. Zay is charming but I do not like Jersey. I do however like that the writer has shown as much as tell us why Jersey’s the way she is. I’m glad she’s not irritable just because. Zay on the other hand is SPICYYY and lovable. He’s been through shit but he’s not a jerk because of it.

What a childish MC. The childish shit she does is annoying.
