Is it acceptable to rate a book when you DNF? I usually will rate, if I DNF with no plans to return to a book. Curious about others' practices.

I have dnf 5 books and rated a couple of them..I usually try my hardest to finish a book even tho I'm not feeling it anymore.
I've got 8 DNF and have rated half of them. If I've gotten through a good portion of the book why not?
I rarely DNF. Usually, if I start a book and get only 30 percent in or less before stopping, I don't rate and remove it from my shelves. If I read through at least 50 percent, I will offer a short review as to why I DNF but won't rate, but that's only happened a couple times.
I don't rate it if I didn't finish it. I may say something or just move it to my DNF shelf.
Leave a thought but definitely do not give a star rating.
