I'm at 55% and I'm still not sure I like this book, it's missing a spark. I like the way they communicate and that's about it.

@dr. t, awww :(( i’m definitely feeling similarly rn. it’s rare that i reas only 10% when starting a book but i was so bored 😭💗
Like you, I was excited for a crime story with spicy flirt on the side, but the crime is kinda lame and although both Dylan and Briana are very likeable they just aren't very interesting. I might give up soon too, and I hate not finishing a book!
@dr. t, exactly exactly. the crime aspect is quite lame and like…dramatically executed? i cant really take it seriously tbh.
It gets worse... at 70% they start fighting about, wait for it, they have exes!!! Ooo dramatic. And the latest chapter had Dylan mad cause Bri decides to change jobs, how dare she right. Yeah I'm putting this away now!

Not even other women, Bri dated a male cop briefly and Dylan got mad she didn't tell her about it... to which Bri responded she didn't want to tell her cause she didn't wanna talk about exes cause Dylan is a player... like what? Isn't that how they started? So confusing
@dr. t, when did she date a cop? not during their relationship right? but yeah why would they discuss exes?? and dylan was always sexualising women too it made me so uncomfy 😭
She dated a cop way before she met Dylan... so, not relevant at all. I think the author just needed some drama and that was the best she came up with?
