When Sophie takes the trail, she hears her mom and dads voice. Even though she know that they are dead, she still wants to save them. Sophie is scared and desperate to go home. For example, she yells "What do you want", when she sees seven feet tall scarecrows. Also, she says "I can't... I can't survive this..."

Sophie is determined and does not give up. Even though others think that she is 100% bad, she tries to solve the riddle to go home. For example, she puts up a poster about having lunch with her for "Beauty Charity." Also, she talks about how she looks like a good and acts like one.

As time passes by, Sophie thinks that she is turning more evil than good. At the end of the chapter, she predicts that the only way to go home is if Prince Tedros kisses her and so that everyone else thinks that she is good (Only good people share the feeling of love).

Sophie and Agatha are friends but, Sophie is good and and Agatha is evil. Students who are good and bad are not aloud to be friends. When it is time to go to a school, they both end up in the wrong school. Sophie ends up in the school for evil and Agatha ends up in the school for good. So, they go to the school master and ask if they can go home. But, he says that they must solve riddles in order to go home.
