As a pacifist Christian, I was excited to read this. Sadly, by page 15 the author has already villainized evangelicals, Trump voters (he stinks, but not all his voters deserve to become pariahs), and people against birth control (I’ve never met ONE, but the left loves to pretend they’re numerous). She does so in a dismissive way as if it’s obvious to all that those people are terrible. “Virtue-signaling”.

The first chapter contains some good points. It also contains the fallacious assumption, incredibly common in recent years, that “unity” is intrinsically good, no matter between or among whom. Unity is often useful in accomplishing goals, but it is neither good nor bad in itself. The Bible never calls (instructs/tells/requires) Christians to be unified/united with anyone but each other.
