ugh, yeah. that was a trend in fanfic that i remember and i'm so glad it died. thankfully, monica doesn't use it in her other books that i remember.

I've read a few of her other books and don't remember encountering the blonde/brunette descriptors in any of those. It was just way too overdone in this one.
