Kalidan becomes closer to the Watch, and starts to guess at how they are getting all of this food. Shallan is becoming more and more split between her personas while trying to get noticed by the Cult of Moments.

We've gone to Kholinar with Elhokar, Adolin, Kaladin, Shallan and some others. Seems a nice break from Urithiru with some mystery thrown in. The city is being interfered with by a cult, the spren are changed and no one can get close to the Queen. Kaladin is tasked with infiltrating the Watch, and Shallan/Veil with infiltrating the cult.

Seeing more of Dalinar's history, his constant searching for The Thrill while disappointing his wife. Jasnah has begun a scholars' circle in Urithiru. Renarin very usefully finds a trove of information with the help of his spren, which previously went unnoticed.

Dalinar begins to revisit his visions and learns he ask the Stormfather to bring people into them. He plans to use this to get other monarchs to join his efforts. Kaladin eventually leaves the group of runaway Parshmen and goes back to Urithiru. Jasnah has returned, not yet sure how she survived.
