Even though I can’t eat most of the recipes in this book, this still might be my favorite cookbook this year. Seeni sambol, pol sambol, cardamom fried chicken! I keep trying to sniff the book. Now I need to find fresh curry leaves and fresh pandan leaves.

Mythili I'm sure this is noted in the book (or you might already know it) but curry leaves are super common at any Indian grocery store, if that's easier to find!


Emmalita Yes, I need to find one. The one I used to go to closed. There are a couple of large Asian grocery stores nearish, and I’ve heard one has a good selection of Indian staples, while the other is more focused on Korean foods.
