Add a plethora of side characters whose deaths are used to manipulate sympathy for the annoying heroine. Add 1 sexy as hell, multifaceted villain/anti-hero whose downfall brought me to tears. Going through my books looking for what I started reading & forgot & there are quite a few of these as usual! I skimmed this one all the way through and already know what I'm in for. I'm not loving the hero so far, and the villain is way more exciting! Why can't I read books how a normal person does?
