What the heck? Why bother having a fade to black on their first time if one paragraph later you're just going to rehash it as a memory? It's beyond dumb.

Not a good start. Bianca is supposed to be a ten year-old girl, but she talks like every annoying, sassy, meddlesome female BFF character I've ever come across in this genre.
