Unbelievable what these people went through with this plague. Listen to this: "People in Constantinople took to wearing name tags when they went out. That way, if they dropped dead in the streets, their bodies could be identified." What a fearful time for all.

I have to be in a certain mood to read this book. I just read how the plague wiped out every single person in Greenland. I can't imagine the terror these people felt. John of Redding wrote this "A remarkable thing was noticed for the first time: that everyone born after the pestilence had two fewer teeth than people had had before." Interesting.
