One sad part was when kids bullied the narrator because of his jacket. The narrator wanted a cool, leather jacket, but instead he got an ugly, greenish-brown jacket. He was made fun of at school because of it. An example from the text was "During the morning recess Frankie T., the playground terrorist pushed me to the ground and made me stay there" (2). This shows that his jacket is causing his peers to torment him.
