This book started off well but I really feel like it's losing me here. Way too many side characters, and they're mostly underdeveloped. I don't remember who is who among the huge clans so it feels like it's just some goobers called Vrengar and Svelksik and I just struggle to care at all.
I can see it getting better at the end but I just don't care about a single character here.

End of chapter 30
Honestly, not feeling this as much during the middle section. Maybe it’s because I had a big break 👀 but I just don’t care about anyone right now. I’m holding out hope that the stories will EVENTUALLY come together because atm it’s just 3 separate plot-lines meandering about. Orka is cool but her story was less interesting in these chapters.

End of chapter 20. ooo shits really starting to go down ..
Orka's chapters were all great, and her storyline is definitely the most intriguing of them all. The Varg stuff was a touch boring, though I understand the need for this, and Elvar sadly only got one chapter, but it was very cool.
I'm glad the storylines are moving more toward one another, because three separate casts of characters is a lot to keep up with.

I’m enjoying it so far, but the three POVs are very separate at the moment. One POV is from a pretty evil bunch, but I can already sense the redemption arc forming. Varg is the character I want to see more of, and Orka is the one I’ve enjoyed most so far. We’ve already had some hints at the ‘old gods’ which is exciting.
Not much else to say just yet.
