In the hope of understanding one of my family members, who passed away several years ago without me really getting to know him, and who passed in sad circumstances.

I'm already terrified to read this account. My great-uncle lived through World War II and III (one of the nicknames for the Korean War, according to this book). I could never understand him as a kid. And somehow now it's important to know why.
