I feel pitiful for the main character. As I read this book, I indulge myself into the world of the BSD character Osamu Dazai, and come to realizations about his character and why he is the way he is. The word I would describe this book as is melancholic. It’s beautiful, yet depressing. It can either bring more awareness to a person or send them spiraling into a depression.
