Meanwhile, if you were into sex games and we're blindfolded and your partner switched partners on you. And that partner happened to be your ex. As if you wouldn't know them by their smell and touch. That negates the scene completely.

Mind you I'm talking out of my ass because I don't know if that's what's going on yet. Look I'm being good and I'm not skipping ahead lol

I'm pretty freaking sure that the switcheroo is her ex - someone who hurt her badly even though we don't know the full story yet. So it's mind f*** within mine f***** within mind f*****

like mine f***** squared or inception, the smut version.

We are at the point in a jaas novel where there's about to be a 180. Usually at this point characters have a heart of gold and surprise you in how much you suddenly like them. Not this time. This time they're all just a bunch of dicks.

I know there's still more coming and something will shift that maybe they will be a bit more likable, but right now, holy dregs of humanity 😳

I have a lot to say about this book but for now I'm just going to make a comment about this narrator. Her character has just been through, let's call it an ordeal. She is exhausted to the point that she can't even stand so one might ask themselves, do we want to say the line "I probably will be tomorrow!!"

👩🏻 like a happy cheerleader?

The answer you are looking for here, is no.

Not to speak to the book itself, this is number three in the series, number one was absolutely fantastic, number two was all about babies so I gave that a hard pass and number three seems to be interesting. Just have to get over the frustrating narrator and her heavy breathing... But not in the good way

Kate Russel is hands down the breathiest narrator I have ever heard. I have no idea why the sound editors didn't catch this because all the other books by JA Huss are fine.

Every sentence there's a huge breathy breath in before she speaks. Really wonder if this was her first book and she forgot to pull back from the microphone or something. Makes it hard to listen to
