End of the first arc, meaning it’s the end of the 1st Chinese book. It was so. damn. good. I so cannot wait to see what comes next 😁 Now I’m putting this aside for a while and read 2 other books, and in the meantime the 4th volume will come out so then I can continue with this one and the 3rd volume without feeling like I have to wait way too much for the 4th and 5th volume. 🙈

This book is playing with my emotions but I’m so here for it. Xie Lian saying “I just don’t think it’s right for someone to have been kind but still meet a bad end.” and “I don’t want to see anyone go through what I’ve alread had enough of.” has made me teared up. And Lang Qianqiu, damn that guy, I love him so much. 😭❤️

Seriously. This book. Daaaamn. How can someone write so many amazing and complex characters while it doesn’t feel overwhelming?! MXTX is a magician, I just love all the characters, the story, the pacing, it’s such a page turner, I just love this book so much. 🥺❤️ And I just hope that a certain character doesn’t die soon but I have very bad feelings about it. 😭

I’m on the opinion that every single person should read this book/series, so please do it, thank you (and also, you’re welcome). 😌

I just looove love LOVE this book so much so far. It’s smart, it’s dark, but also pure comedy many times. 😂❤️

I’m quite scared as I’m going forward in the story because I know that all the fluffyness will come to an end soon and I don’t want it. 🥺 I love it so much, it’s giving me liiiife. But ofc I’m really curious to see what will happen, it’s just that I could read Xie Lian and Hua Cheng just simply having casual convos, doing fun things for aaageees I LOVE THEM. 🥹❤️

You guys. The Gambler’s Den scene is probably one of my favorites so far. IT WAS SO GOOD, I love these idiots so much, and I’m really enjoying Ghost City. Such a sinister place, I’d say just the way I like it, but it was sometimes a bit too much, but oh well, this is what I signed up for when I decided to read this book, so it’s okay. 💁🏼‍♀️ (ps. my love, Hua Cheng is the coolest as always ❤️)

Help. How to stop reading this? I have stuff to do, I can’t read all day. Yes, I’m only on page 43, I actually had to force myself to stop, and I’m really fighting my urge to read this in one sitting. IT IS SO GOOD Y’ALL!! 🙈
