I think it’s just this trope that doesn’t work for me. I can’t get behind a FMC that doesn’t know her mind. She was marrying someone else two weeks ago and now she’s in love with his best friend. I’m supposed to believe she’s a reliable love interest? Give her two more weeks and she’ll be all over her mailman for all I know.

Yes it’s very bizarre. This went from quirky side characters and rom/com shenanigans to creepy stalker sexual assault with less than 50 pages to go.
