A recent "argument" at the office about this book made me move it up on my to-read list. So far, 70 pages in, it's the best book I've read in a while. The writing is just exquisite. And I genuinely am at a loss of what people get so twisted about. She's an amazing writer, and I feel like this story could be about any other two countries, any other nationality.
