Kidnapping is a federal crime the FBI will get involved even before the 24th hour, I don't know if it is the same for a missing person though.
Yeah if there were weird circumstances, maybe, but in this case the boy just didn't come home from school. There were no signs of kidnapping or struggles or anything. Police usually don't even consider it a missing person's case until the 24 hour mark. Also this 16YO girl is being followed and basically stalked by the FBI who seem to be wasting all their time and resources on her, yet all they have to go on is the boy's mother's wild accusation of her being involved bc of a psychic reading. A girl who's average in build and just aced a chem exam, puked as soon as she saw a pic of a body, and had an alibi is def not a killer. I watch enough TV to know no FBI would waste time on her lol. The whole story seems very far fetched to me.
I see. I hate when authors do that. It really ruins the whole story.
