Finished chapter 1 and lukewarm so far. There is a fine line trying to be vague enough to keep interest but not give everything away and this intro was too vague. I dont care about this mc yet, or whoever Easton is so I just dont care about whatever happened enough to be hooked? But apparently these first pages hooked an agent somehow. Maybe chapter 2 picks up.

Really struggling to care about this book and these characters... just not connecting. I like it in theory... i think the problem is it is sooo annoyingly vague, alluding to a big "something" that happened but without knowing what it was, how am I supposed to care about how things are now? It just makes me annoyed that they're just going to drag this out until a big reveal.
