Why do I keep picking up these badly edited books?
So she’s not from Savannah, she’s from Charleston, except it sometimes says she’s from Savannah because maybe at one point she was and the author changed it because of the character named Savannah but didn’t catch all the mentions of the city? I dunno… splurge on an fucking editor ffs. SMH.

I think it was a mistake to have one character named Savannah and one character FROM Savannah. It’s freaking confusing. I don’t know if we are talking about the character or the place.

“Día de la Muertos event”

For a book that’s centred around this Mexican holiday, she should probably check how to spell it. It’s used wrong 13 times in this book.
Día de los muertos. Plural.

I have to be honest with everyone… I don’t understand what grits are 🥺

Urg, this author has not fixed her writing issues. PICK A NARRATION AND STAY IN IT.
I can’t even rant in highlights because I am reading this in Scribd.
