Not sure if this is a bridge book between Annihilation and Acceptance, but it’s so slow. Things are starting to happen, and then it just stops happening.

I’ve been reading this slowly. It’s still not much happening, Control who is the new Director of Southern Reach is still walking around not doing too much. Ghost Bird, the biologist from the first book and movie, can’t remember much and Control is having a administrative terf-war with the assistant director.

So far its been slow. I want to know more about Area-X, where all the interesting things are. But I feel I’m mostly just getting behind the scenes things, how Southern Reach operates, how “Control” is. Can’t wait to go back into Area-X.
