Writing style is bringing this down a bit. It is not a good sign when I am pulled out of the story trying to figure out if the logistics and details being given are actually possible. I find myself asking "is he Gumby?" " How did he lift he like that from that position?" I want to be engaged in the story not the minutiae.......

Harper is a bit abrupt and brash but hopefully she softens just enough to be likeable.
