The author attempts to claim a “clutter-obesity connection” that doesn’t hold once you poke around in what’s available of the paper she cites and related academic resources. To claim a connection is a risky reach, only paper I can find from the time explicitly relating to obesity studies the relationship between obesity and hoarding disorders, which is a more severe problem than this book should handle
