So far, this is a gripping read. This book focuses on the people and societal aspects associated with Neon, only loosely threading onto the chronology. The use of anecdotes, visual links to a great number of other types of works and media (art, architecture, literature, music, social science, regular science, etc) makes for a very rich read. Very much enjoying it so far!
