Mary Elizabeth is an absolute delight! Her cousin Sam is adorable, too. I kinda want to the rest of the book to be nothing but their adventures by the sea. But since it won't be...I hope Mary Elizabeth doesn't completely lose her backbone in her desire to win over the sanctimonious John Saxon.

Wow, John Saxon is a judgmental asshole! He definitely didn't show this side of himself in White Orchids. He is such a snob that I had to laugh when he realized his mistake of wooing a stranger whom he thought was a Christian aid worker but turned out to be a worldy Wainwright! His prejudices caught up with him in a most delicious way. HA! This will be hard reading if I hate the "hero" so much already!

Sequel to White Orchids, starring the dude who converted the hero of WO and the hero's cousin. Apparently our converter falls head-over-heels in love with the cousin at first site and proposes marriage to her before actually, you know, talking to her. Strange proposal, indeed!
