There’s still plenty to read, but so far I found the history of the geisha girl as well as how Blackthorn intends to get his ship back. Still don’t know what happened to the crew we met in the very beginning. I’m sure that’s coming up soon. I have not read this book since 1980. It really reads a lot different for me now well worth it.

I like the great detail but sometimes they go a little too much on the detail. That’s what makes the book so thick and so long I suppose. Also a little more violent that I remember. I haven’t read the books in the 1980s so this is good to dive into the old novels again.
