Still whittling away at the whopping diaries of Dawn Powell, who died on this day in 1965. While reading of her struggles with lack of big success, her son, her husband, I sometimes think it's kind of a sad existence. But she is very driven. Everything is about writing and writing and writing. Some good aphorisms, too.
