i finished this novel some days ago. i will post some words i find interesting! it has a vocabulary dictionary at the end and i though it was wonderful, because there so many colloquialism i don't know.

this is the first one:

amargo: brandy flavored with citron peels, limón or willow; with donkey fruit or pepper seeds; with mint or anise or malojillo. the scent gives it its name.

this is a piece of classic venezuelan literature. it's perhaps the first venezuelan novel i read. hopefully i will commit to read more latin american literature the coming year.
