I'm sorry, but I find it hilarious that Anita now has a whole rainbow of tigers inside her. Their antics are much more engaging than the rest of Anita. LKH is also trying to keep the crime investigation part of the plot alive, but seems to keep getting distracted. Maybe it's just me.

Liked the camaraderie between Anita and Rocco. The pace picked up here, as it tends to do with these more recent AB:VH books. I would have liked more badass gunfight style action for Anita instead of yet more ardeur-infused mind-fuckery to win the day, but it was still relatively good at the end. Last line bothered me because Max illuminated Vittorio's motivation. Then again, I don't like LKH's epilogues in general.

I like the potential in the psychic vampires concept that was expanded just a little. I'm also glad LKH is sending Requiem away. It would have been silly and kinda cruel to handle his case otherwise. Touching bit between Anita and him. Usually, I dislike Requiem's poetic antics, but this time it seemed to fit. Of course, now I have "Time to Say Goodbye" stuck in my head. Not sure if that's a good thing. XD

I enjoyed the bit of drama between Wicked/Truth and Anita, and that she finally asked someone to kill her if she gets too powerful and out of control. The Vittorio stuff that followed was also cool, but I thought Olaf scaring the piss out of the vamps and doing his serial killer bit (again) wasn't all that necessary. I'm interested to see how it wraps up.

I'm left feeling like Anita et al didn't have to work all that hard to find out what's going on. They went to the logical source of information and were handed a lead that almost seems too perfect... like, wrapped up nicely with a bow perfect. I hope there's another twist coming. Otherwise, I can't imagine the book picking up the pace for the next 100+ pages.

I'm enjoying Victor as a character, and I figured he would somehow end up screwing Anita. Even if he did just sleep beside her, I'm kind of glad it was done off-stage, as it were. It's nice not to have too many gratuitous sex scenes.

Finally picked this up again. There's only so much of the recent LKH that I can take before I just need to put the e-book away for a few months. XD

Anita's fear of Olaf is still a little amusing, but all the macho 'I have to prove myself and it makes me angry!' stuff is getting terribly redundant. I'm waiting for the plot to pick up speed.

Glad the macho stuff came to a head and is (hopefully) over. Kind of nice to see Anita's feathers ruffled by Olaf. I like when she's bothered by someone not exactly involved in relationship angst. He's creepy instead of seductive, and seeing Anita squirm with fear instead of in a happy-in-the-pants way makes things a little better than before.

And the macho!Anita continues her rampage against her soapbox-rant-inducing 'machine'. -__-;

Already getting tired of the 'I have to prove myself to be on par with the macho-ness' shit. Also didn't need an entire paragraph to marvel at every individual model of gun Anita owns. In other words: Filler. Lots of it.
