This has been absolute heaven. I'm reading this to my kids and they are eating it up. We're discussing events, talking about theories (it's so hard to keep my mouth shut), and most importantly, they're pleading to read it each night! Heaven I tell ya!

How old are your kids? I did the Hobbit with my 10 & 8 year old and they were just ok with it.

It's my twin 10 year olds. We read the Hobbit a couple years ago and they were the first people who I ever knew to actually like the songs and poems (and sang them for months "old tomnoddy" and such) so I had a feeling this would work for LotR too! You never know what will stick right?!
