I'm interested in the story but the world building includes a language that is dense and confusing. Every official name or title, ceremonial act, etc are this new language and since Maia is now Emperor it seems every other word is a title I have to look up in the cheat sheet in the back. Rather than getting into the plot this is pulling me out of it. With six other books waiting I'm putting this aside for now.
