okay i’m literally commenting every second but i love the overlap of delilah seeing mateo and rufus at chelsea

omg bye i knew it. rufus is literally talking abt how he’s the one who left his family—got out of the sinking car and ran away. he’s def not gonna let mateo die alone.

(curse you goodreads word count) but since the book is called “they both die at the end”, i’m guessing rufus will die somehow aswell, maybe because they were supposed to die together. maybe even in an attempt to save him, idk i’m just theorizing and i kinda hope i’m right but we’ll see.

omg i noticed when that girl, delilah i think her name was, said she was mad at that guy for making a prank call, but right now when rufus slept on the train on the way back from the cemetery, he didn’t have any dreams while mateo had a nightmare in the way there, symbolizing that rufus would be fine but mateo would die. also from the fact that mateo was called by a girl while rufus by a guy.
