Fuuuuuck Midas. F*ck him with a Maven C level intensity. They’re both diabolical bastards. They’re two of the few who could get me to cuss on Goodreads. I want to say more because I’ve finished the book, but it would be rife with spoilers. I just needed to get this moment logged somewhere because f*ck that guy. She really did a great job at hiding that reveal. I had no idea until it happened the first time and didn’t even realize it was coming already this time. It made up for Auren’s being obvious.

I sat down so tired and said “just 2 chapters. maybe 3!” 😒 went from 409 to 595. I kind of regret it cuz so much happened within those pages. Should have stopped and basked in some hatred for a bit. I have very straight forward feelings about that prelude, but mixed on the conclusion. I realized a while ago I enjoy the chase, once things start clicking together I’m not as interested. Slow up the burn.
