“When will we see each other again?” he asked, his words choked and tight.
“I put in for a week in July. If I can get things standing on their own with the project, I’ll come to see you.”
“Two more months.”
“Yeah.”
He nodded then kissed his fingers and held them out. I copied the gesture, and we said good night.

now i wanna read a book with a couple in a long distance relationship 😭
