Took a few days break from this and I just don’t know. I’m not confident this gets better. I wish he had sprung for an editor, because a lot of this isn’t making sense and it really could have been a lot more with more time and/or an editor’s involvement. I almost want to rewrite this myself as a practice exercise and also satisfaction with the story.

In all, the story is okay. It’s just messy and all over the place. It’s hard to follow because the tense and point of view changes. It goes from present to past, first to third to second person without any other indication of which parties are speaking. A new character was introduced without ever being formally acknowledged so you were just running on assumption. But I am mostly following the story.

You know in zootopia where Judy is knocking her head against the desk saying “I am a real cop” to herself over and over again?

I’m feeling like that.

I’m never gonna be the same after seeing the way Mr. Leone spelled “cognizant.”

I can’t really excuse this. You just have to Google it.
