I hope I'm just misreading the tone because this seems super haughty.

"Technology" which is "inhuman" is horrible, disregarding the fact that the *wheel* is technology, and it is also inhuman. That human society *necessitates* specialization.

But most importantly, that modern society seems to only be in service of "no particular purpose other than the wasteful fulfillment of its own momentum". How short sighted.
