Ah! I feel the same way. My piano teacher used to make us learn how to sing each note on pitch. It still haunts me

It's probably the most frustrating thing about musical training imo, and definitely the most difficult. Though, if I'm honest, I haven't put a lot of time into it. I just give the exercises a shot, fail, and move on! 😅I need to take it right back to basics and do interval training I think. Such a great skill to be able to recognise relative pitches and play by ear. I was just doing an exercise where I had to say if the scale was A natural minor, Harmonic minor or Melodic minor and... I got 2/6 lol. Both the Harmonics 🤷♂️
