I have read the first book. I think I will puck up the second book in August.

In a word, he so talked him over, and with such persuasions and promises, that the poor clown made up his mind to sally forth with him and serve him as esquire.

I think Don Quixote is a lot of fun. It reminds me of the news on TV. Everything is so right here right now and then time passes and it is a gone. No one paid for all the misery that they caused trying to punish a whole country for something one person or group did. All enemies are illusional and really do not make sense...we have to believe that wars are too and those that fight them a little mad in the bargain.

If you are one of those people that likes to try the lastest products advertised on TV this book just might be for you. Don Quixote also believes what he reads and even though others point out the fallacy of his beliefs he is not easily con-vinced. There is a lot of humor and wisdom in this book. A great book to pick up and read to your children as many in Spain were introduced to it then.

So far I have really enjoyed reading this classic. There is a lot of slapstick as well as tragedy. What is amazing is how many ways I could relate this book to the modern world.

For instance, Don Quixote believes in chivalry as much as a lot of people believe in what they see on TV. Some people think they are educated because they use the latest air fresheners, not even checking to see if they might be hurting
