Something that the characters have said several times in this book is "you can't ask a dead man what he did wrong". I think that it means that you just keep having to try even thought tings in the past have not gone well. In the book people have tried getting out of the maze, but some of them did not comeback into the glade. So even though something has gone wrong, does not mean it is impossible.

The personalty of Thomas is kind of what made the book how it is. If Thomas's curiosity didn't take him into the maze then the book would be different because he really wanted to go into the maze, but no body else did, so he just went in and triggered something that no one else has ever done before. (His fear turned into curiosity, then into boredom.) (297).

The character in my book is very curious with everything. He is the only one that wants to go in to the maze and learn more about what is happening. Most of the other characters where scared and extremely unsure of them selves when they first entered the maze. He was confident right when he enters the maze, his personalty trait is perfect for this book.

I chose this book because I have already seen the movie and really liked the movie. Also I knew that the books are always better then the movies. Also this book has such an exiting summery that I just keep wanting to read it.
