This is a really interesting book and a gutsy choice by the author. I think the gamble is paying off, and I can see how there are readers who wanted a book more closely like the first.

I like this series so far, and this opening is intriguing. I do sort of miss Andi, but on the other hand, if you focus only on this as itself, there's a lot going on and a lot being juggled.
