what do you think about this story book mon

Its an interesting read. really makes me think in a perspective i never would have thought about. The fox enounter was probably my favourite chapter. Really highlights the meaning of friendship ~~~~

also sharing this because mahiro brought this up to me & it completely changed my interpretation of the story with the fox:

in the english translation, the fox asks the Little Prince to "tame" him, which is closely related to the word "domesticate." i initially thought the fox and the Little Prince had a hierarchical relationship.

but in the original french book, the word is "apprivoiser", which more closely means "a process to gently forge a relationship" and doesn't really have the connotation that "tame" has in english!

To me i still get the feeling of gently forging a relationship from the chapter through the word tame. I guess the word doesn't really effect the way i viewed the encounter since the explanation of the friendship during the chapter just explain itself well. If that makes any sense haha.
