Listening to the audiobook! I noticed this on Libby and I liked another book by the same author so I opened it and found out it won the CILIP Carnegie medal in 2018! So far, I'm really enjoying it! The writing style is straightforward (since it was written for a younger readership) but the themes are actually quite heavy. It's also set in the Outer Hebrides, which was a nice surprise!!
