Ok, if somebody did that to me, I'm thinking he'd have to have moved so quickly that my instinct would have told me I was about to be smacked in the face (not that that's happened to me either). I don't think I'd be feeling romantic, I'd be fighting an adrenalin surge.

A lot of talk about "Oh I can never commit" from the hero. In such a short book, I'm feeling pessimistic that that will be resolved convincingly.
