Fuh, aku rasa seolah-olah disedut masuk ke parallel universe macam dalam TV series Fringe.

That fateful year might be history now, but it felt like yesterday. I believe this is her way to channel her frustration of what happened then to our country.

So far so good. I'm enjoying it as if watching a good movie. The only thing missing is popcorn.

She was having fun indeed while writing this novel. I can imagine who's her muse for each character in Algojo so far. If you know, you know.

If I were to read any Fixi books, say 2-3 years ago, I might not be comfortable with their language style. To borrow Nisah Haron's saying, "sekerat belut sekerat ikan" isn't my thing and I was strongly against it.

Now I've come to accept that it's just the way some people jam. So by the time I reconnect with Sri Rahayu's works and discover this title, I'm already a different person than I was many years ago.

Like the river flows. Even though the author uses nonlinear narrative, I can follow the storyline easily at comfortable pace.
